Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chuckie Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Svenstroem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuckie Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magnus Svenstroem!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svenstroem fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No luck for Svenstroem with that takedown attempt.
Liddell thows a body shot but no joy.

Svenstroem darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Liddell trying to control from the bottom.

Svenstroem seems to be working for a kimura but Liddell defends the submission attempt.

Svenstroem is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Liddell defends it well.

Svenstroem is looking to take a break and control but Liddell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Liddell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Liddell tries to get out of the position.

Svenstroem looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Svenstroem throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Svenstroem is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Liddell is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Svenstroem has a takedown stuffed.
Chuckie Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magnus Svenstroem.

Liddell throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Svenstroem misses with a takedown attempt - Liddell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Svenstroem tries for a takedown but Liddell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Svenstroem is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Liddell will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Svenstroem wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Liddell, who protects the arm well.

Svenstroem decides to stand up, so the ref orders Liddell to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Svenstroem shoots for a takedown but Liddell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Liddell is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Svenstroem shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Svenstroem stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Svenstroem takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Liddell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice sprawl there from Liddell as Svenstroem shoots in.

Liddell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Svenstroem.

Chuckie Liddell dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Svenstroem will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Svenstroem staying out of range there.
Svenstroem shoots for a double leg takedown but Liddell sprawls well. He's pushed Svenstroem's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Liddell misses with a straight right.

Liddell throws a lazy right hand but Svenstroem sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Liddell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Svenstroem manages to avoid it.
Svenstroem misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nice takedown defense from Liddell. No joy for Svenstroem on that attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Liddell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Liddell wants it to stay on the feet.

Svenstroem scores with a takedown into Liddell's guard.

Svenstroem drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Svenstroem jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Svenstroem working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Svenstroem wants to control from the top but Liddell keeps moving.

Svenstroem postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Liddell is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Svenstroem, into his guard.
Svenstroem takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Liddell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Svenstroem has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Liddell has managed to get both his arms back between Svenstroem's legs - danger averted.

Svenstroem is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Liddell sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Liddell trying to stand up but can't free himself from Svenstroem's guard.

Svenstroem looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Svenstroem throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Liddell escapes and throws Svenstroem's legs to the side, diving into side control!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chuckie Liddell.
I think Liddell has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
