Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tonying Americano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Deftones - Change kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tonying Americano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Miller!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Americano avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Americano throws a leg kick which misses Miller's front leg but catches the back leg as Miller tries to avoid it.
Miller avoids the head kick by Americano.
Americano swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Americano tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Americano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Miller avoids the head kick by Americano.

Miller closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Americano to the mat! Americano manages to get full guard.
Miller won't allow Americano to get back to his feet.

Miller postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Americano is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Miller, into his guard.

Americano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Miller is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Americano.
Americano throws a push kick but Miller slaps the foot to one side.

Miller throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Americano uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Miller.

Miller lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Americano backs up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd cheers as Miller lands an impressive looking overhand right. Americano doesn't seem phased though.

Americano takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Miller fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Miller thows a leg kick but Americano checks it
and Americano cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Miller takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Americano misses with a head kick.
Miller throws a leg kick but Americano checks it.
A big left from Miller misses.
Tonying Americano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Americano misses with a head kick.
Miller throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Miller misses with a straight right.
Americano walks into a stiff left hand from Miller.
Miller misses the jab.

Miller shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Americano napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Americano tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Miller wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Americano has escaped the position, nice work there.
Americano is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Miller working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tonying Americano dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Americano takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Americano pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miller dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Americano. That did some damage!

Americano goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Americano fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Miller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Americano avoids it really well and circles away.

Miller wants to slow Americano down by chopping away at his legs.

Americano gets caught flat footed, as Miller shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Americano swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Miller is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Americano can't keep his opponent in guard - Miller advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Americano is refusing to be controlled, as Miller sits in half guard.

Miller is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Americano has managed to free his arm - good work.
Americano is trying to stand back up but Miller is controlling him
Americano knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miller on the ground.
Americano is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Miller is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Americano has managed to free his arm - good work.

Americano is defending against the submission attempts here by Miller.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Americano drops his hands momentarily and Miller takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

I think Miller has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
