PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between jason Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Dee!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wayne manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dee wants to pass the guard but Wayne is keeping the position.

Dee drops back looking for a leg! Wayne is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wayne manages to kick Dee off! Dee jumps back into Wayne's guard.
Dee working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wayne's head.

Dee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Dee is fighting to break Wayne's control of his arms but Wayne is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Dee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wayne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dee swivels though and keeps the full guard.

You can see the frustration on Wayne's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Wayne has hold of Dee's hands but Dee slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Dee winds up and cracks Wayne with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Dee is working Wayne over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Wayne shoots and misses

and Dee counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dee.
Dee tries to score a body lock takedown but Wayne shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wayne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wayne is not content to let Dee control the position.
Wayne is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Dee is controlling him well.

That's time! Wayne's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
