Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rey Mysterio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Timothy Ng!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ng throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ng stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ng waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mysterio.
Ng thows a body shot but no joy.
Ng jabs Mysterio right on the nose. Mysterio blinks but takes it well.
Timothy Ng seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ng swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mysterio keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mysterio uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ng.
Ng fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mysterio manages to avoid it.
Ng ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mysterio moves away.
Ng throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ng throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ng missing with a left hand there. Mysterio was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Mysterio shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ng but Ng pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mysterio shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ng is trying to defend but Mysterio finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Mysterio looking for a submission but Ng manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Mysterio drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mysterio jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mysterio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ng swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ng wants to get back to his feet but Mysterio is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ng misses with a hook. Mysterio ducked under it nicely.

Mysterio shoots in and bounces Ng off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Mysterio seems a little lost for a moment, as Ng dominates the positioning.

Timothy Ng is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ng throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Mysterio drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Mysterio thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mysterio swings around for an armbar but Ng sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mysterio's guard.
Mysterio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ng defends it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mysterio tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ng swivels and escapes.
Mysterio closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mysterio lands in his opponent's guard.
Mysterio drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ng looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ng looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ng!
Ng wants to control but Mysterio is keeping him busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ng cracks Mysterio with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Mysterio shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ng as he jumps to the side.
Ng throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mysterio.
Mysterio goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ng has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mysterio but great work by Ng.

Rey Mysterio overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ng got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mysterio has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ng has managed to get both his arms back between Mysterio's legs - danger averted.

Mysterio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ng gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ng is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ng throws a series of punches but Mysterio avoids them all with ease.
Mysterio feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mysterio sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ng's guard.
Ng has one foot on Mysterio's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Ng rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mysterio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ng gets caught flat footed, as Mysterio shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mysterio has gone for a leg lock! Ng slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mysterio's guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rey Mysterio.
I think Mysterio has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
