Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David comes to the cage accompanied by Eluveitie - Calling The Rain. Kennedy has chosen Dirty Cash By Dizee Rascal as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeff Kennedy!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kennedy.
A swing and a miss from Kennedy.
David uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kennedy.
Kennedy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kennedy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
David avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kennedy moves out of range as David strikes.
Kennedy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from David.
David throws a leg kick but Kennedy checks it.
David misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kennedy counters with a three punch combo that has David backing up. David nods at Kennedy to acknowledge the strikes.
David lands with a hook. Kennedy tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

The crowd cheers as Kennedy lands an impressive looking overhand right. David doesn't seem phased though.
David falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Kennedy to counter with a crisp jab.
Kennedy keeps the fight on the outside.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kennedy. David does a little dance to reset his feet.
David lands with a cross.
Kennedy throws a nice looking combination but David bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
David walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kennedy tries to move into range but David moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
David closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kennedy circles away.
Kennedy takes one to the side of the head.
Mark David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
David throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Good work by David as he checks the leg kick.
David throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kennedy on the side of the head.

Kennedy misses with a few strikes there.
Kennedy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kennedy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jeff Kennedy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Kennedy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for David. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

letting Kennedy counter with a right hand.

David changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kennedy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ground and pound from David seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
David in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
David in side control, throwing shots but Kennedy defends.
David with the ground and pound but Kennedy regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
David wants to take a breather but Kennedy is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeff Kennedy dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



David shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
David is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Kennedy reverses the position - he's now on top in David's guard.
Kennedy lands a couple of elbows.
Kennedy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed David's guard.
Kennedy is keen to just control but David is a slippery customer.

Kennedy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed David's head.

David throws and low kick but Kennedy moves out of range easily.

David looks to land a left hand but Kennedy moved out of range nicely.

and David makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

David clinches but Kennedy breaks the clinch
and Kennedy counters with a one-two to the body.
Kennedy throws a combination that misses
and David counters with a left and a right that stings Kennedy.
David lands a glancing blow to the side of Kennedy's head.
Kennedy misses with a looping right.
David fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kennedy avoids it really well and circles away.
David throws a nice looking combination but Kennedy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

David is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kennedy.
Kennedy lands with a nice body punch.
Kennedy misses with a wild body shot.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kennedy can do anything to dispel that myth.

and David counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
David connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kennedy momentarily.
David shoots for a takedown but Kennedy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The fighters circling - Kennedy throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Jeff Kennedy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kennedy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
