The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kai swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kai is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The crowd cheers as Kai lands an impressive looking overhand right. zinger doesn't seem phased though.
Toshihiro Kai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kai misses with a wild combination.
zinger takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kai punishes zinger's body with a nice straight punch.
Kai lands a glancing blow to the side of zinger's head.

It looks like Ahmad zinger has been cut.

Kai closes the distance and clinches.
zinger has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kai lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kai works on zinger's body with a couple of short punches.

Kai cracks zinger with a nice body shot.
Kai lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kai keeps the fight in the clinch, despite zinger's efforts to push away.

Kai manages to break the clinch.
Kai digs a good body shot into zinger's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kai scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

zinger shoots in for a takedown but Kai shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kai takes a swing at zinger's ribcage but misses.
Kai lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
zinger looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
zinger fails with a takedown attempt.
zinger on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kai works the jab nicely.
zinger takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kai takes a swing at zinger's ribcage but misses.
Kai is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Kai fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
zinger shoots for a double leg takedown but Kai sprawls well. He's pushed zinger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ahmad zinger. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kai smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for zinger. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kai stalks zinger and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into zinger's face. zinger staggers backwards, shaken.
zinger gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kai.
Kai fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Donk. Kai catches zinger right on the button with a cross.
zinger is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kai sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kai works the jab nicely.
Kai lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

zinger is rocked!
Kai fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Oh zinger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kai paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kai scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
zinger seems to have got his legs back now.
zinger drops his hands momentarily and Kai takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kai is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! zinger had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Kai lands a head shot.

Kai drops zinger with a beautiful combination! zinger stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kai is looking for the KO!

Ahmad zinger's cut is getting worse.
Kai lands the left hand.
zinger walks straight into a right hand from Kai - that's dropped him! Kai jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save zinger from any more punishment! zinger complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
