Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Regis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Roastbeef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roastbeef has chosen Jump into the fire as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Regis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Roastbeef!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roastbeef shoots for a double leg takedown but Regis sprawls well. He's pushed Roastbeef's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Regis fails to land with a series of punches.
Roastbeef avoids the body shot from Regis.
Regis fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Mike Regis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Roastbeef closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Regis wants to get back to his feet.
Roastbeef is looking to take a break and control but Regis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Roastbeef prevents Regis from escaping the position.
Roastbeef throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Roastbeef wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Regis, who protects the arm well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Roastbeef is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Regis's shoulder. That is not cool.
Roastbeef working the ground and pound.
Roastbeef wants to control but Regis is keeping him busy.
Roastbeef lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Regis down.
Regis prevents Roastbeef from improving position.
Regis is pushing Roastbeef's head away, looking to escape. Roastbeef manages to hold on to the position though.
Roastbeef connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Regis some visible discomfort.
The ground and pound from Roastbeef seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Roastbeef working the head and body with strikes.
Regis is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Roastbeef has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Regis prevents Roastbeef from moving into mount.
You can see the frustration on Regis's face as Roastbeef controls the position.
Regis is working to avoid the ground and pound but Roastbeef connects with a decent elbow.

Roastbeef is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Regis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Roastbeef tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Regis wants to get back to his feet but Roastbeef drags him back down.
Roastbeef trying to control the action but Regis is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Regis is trying to buck Roastbeef off.
Roastbeef lands a few punches from side control.

Roastbeef is working to tighten is grip on Regis's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Regis has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Roastbeef is really squeezing tight and eventually Regis passes out! Roastbeef breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Johnny Roastbeef!
