PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mr E (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kit Latura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
E throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Latura changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. E tries to avoid it but Latura manages to keep hold of a leg and drag E to the ground. E escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
E looks to land a combination but Latura avoids it well.

E gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Latura tries to free his leg and advance position but E is retaining full guard.
Latura is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Latura is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! E is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! E has escaped and now he's on top!

E is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Kit Latura has been cut.
Latura throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
E throws a sloppy head kick and Latura moves out of range easily.

E throws a shot from downtown. Latura moves away and avoids it.
Latura tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Latura takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

E is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Latura's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

A lazy left from E finds it's target.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
E walks into a stiff left hand from Latura.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mr E.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for E, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
