Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Viper Blackrebel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blackrebel comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't No Sunshine By DMX. The crowd seem to be enjoying Grey's choice of entrance music: I've Got the Power. Viper Blackrebel has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabriel Grey!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey works over Blackrebel's head and body with a nice combination.
Blackrebel closes the distance and clinches up with Grey, looking for a takedown. Blackrebel pushes Grey against the cage but Grey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Grey tries a head kick but it misses.
A combination from Grey does no damage.
Grey misses with a wild body shot.
Grey throws a shot to the body.
Blackrebel fails with a takedown attempt.
Blackrebel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

so Blackrebel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Grey lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blackrebel!

Grey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Blackrebel is looking to escape.
Blackrebel is looking to improve his position but Grey isn't that keen on the idea.
Blackrebel is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Blackrebel tries to lock up and control but Grey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Grey swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Blackrebel is now in Grey's guard. A big mistake from Grey there, giving up the dominant position!

Grey wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Blackrebel postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Blackrebel, into his guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Blackrebel has his takedown stuffed
and Grey counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A left and a right from Grey both land. Nice combination.
Grey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Blackrebel.
Blackrebel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Grey did well to prevent Blackrebel getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grey has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Blackrebel off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Grey counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Grey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Grey throws a series of strikes that have Blackrebel backpedaling.
Grey drops Blackrebel with a right and a left! Grey comes rushing in but Blackrebel regains his composure and manages to keep Grey in guard.
Oh Blackrebel is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Grey's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Blackrebel seems to have got his legs back now.

Grey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Grey postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gabriel Grey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Grey tries to land a front kick but Blackrebel steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Grey fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blackrebel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Grey finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Blackrebel throws a low kick, looking for Grey's leg but Grey calmly moves out of range.

Grey rushes Blackrebel with punches - Blackrebel moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Blackrebel goes down! Grey follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
