PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Bryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petey Pablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pablo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Freek-A-Leek. Kobe Bryan looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pablo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bryan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Bryan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pablo as he avoids it easily.
Bryan is looking to chop away at Pablo's legs.

Pablo has Bryan up against the cage in a clinch.
Pablo fails to pull guard.

Pablo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bryan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pablo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pablo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bryan swivels and escapes.
Pablo works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bryan takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Bryan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pablo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bryan wants to control from the top but Pablo keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bryan working over Pablo with some ground and pound. Pablo looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Bryan has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Pablo defend it? Bryan steps over the head and cranks it - Pablo is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Bryan!
