Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Postma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Postma has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Postma throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Postma fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Matsumoto shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Matsumoto was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Matsumoto drops back, looking for a kneebar! Postma looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Postma looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Postma!
Postma content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Postma is working Matsumoto over with some ground and pound from side control.
Postma remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Postma stands up and we're back to a striking position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
