PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Bastich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amzi Azzan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bastich comes into the arena with Watcher blaring out of the sound system. Amzi Azzan acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Big Bastich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Amzi Azzan!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azzan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bastich sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Azzan somewhat.
Bastich lands with a slapping head kick.
Bastich stuffs the takedown.
Azzan defending well as Bastich loads up on a big left hand.

Azzan closes the distance and clinches.
Azzan jumps guard but Bastich stands there with Azzan around his waist. Azzan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Big Bastich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amzi Azzan.
Azzan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Azzan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Azzan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bastich is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bastich lands an uppercut.

Bastich breaks the clinch.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Bastich - that will leave a mark!
Bastich lands a jab.
Bastich cracks Azzan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bastich stalks Azzan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Azzan's face. Azzan staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Amzi Azzan has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Azzan walks into a left hand.
Jab, jab by Bastich - just one landing.
Azzan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bastich swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Azzan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Azzan is rocked!
Whack! Bastich lands a heavy head kick that drops Azzan. The ref tackles Bastich to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Azzan was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Big Bastich!
