Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Rutecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutecki comes to the cage accompanied by Remember the Name. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutecki fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rutecki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Blaze throws a series of punches but Rutecki moves out of range.
Rutecki keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Blaze closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blaze lands in his opponent's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rutecki wants to stand and escape but instead Blaze has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Rutecki wriggles free and stands up.
Blaze tries to clinch but Rutecki is having none of it.

Blaze gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rutecki regains guard.
Blaze throws a strike but Rutecki rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Blaze has a closed guard, preventing Rutecki from standing up.
Rutecki decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Blaze, up you get!
Rutecki gets caught flat footed, as Blaze shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Blaze drops back looking for a leg! Rutecki is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rutecki manages to kick Blaze off! Blaze jumps back into Rutecki's guard.
Rutecki is looking to stand up but Blaze isn't so interested in that idea.
Blaze with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Blaze is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Blaze postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rutecki avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Blaze is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rutecki is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rutecki has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rutecki is sitting in close to Blaze's body. Blaze has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Rutecki is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Rutecki is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Blaze.
