Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenshi Zuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Vujeva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zuko comes to the cage accompanied by Turning Japanese. Vujeva has chosen Wild Boys as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vujeva misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zuko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Zuko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zuko slips a jab and a cross from Vujeva.
Vujeva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zuko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vujeva swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vujeva throws a right hand that Zuko ducks under and follows up with a left that Zuko also avoids with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vujeva is looking to control Zuko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vujeva avoid being mounted?

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vujeva can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vujeva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zuko is working away from the top position though.

Zuko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zuko is working hard here to advance position.
Vujeva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zuko is controlling him.

Vujeva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zuko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

and Zuko makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Zuko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vujeva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Zuko connects with a good right hand that stumbles Vujeva. Vujeva circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zuko tries to clinch but Vujeva is having none of it.

Zuko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Zuko has an Americana. Vujeva didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Zuko is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Zuko hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
