PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tau Fang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Go DJ by Lil Wayne. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fang takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Tau Fang has been cut.

Fang tries to land a front kick but Jones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Fang throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fang is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jones's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jones's back!
Jones turns into Fang and is now in his guard.

Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fang swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fang wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.

Fang is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones avoids the head kick by Fang.
Fang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fang slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Fang takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Fang tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fang takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Jones throws a combination. Fang tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fang defends it nicely.
The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jones is looking to clinch.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fang has left one of his arms exposed and Jones doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Fang screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
