The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David moves out of range of the strikes.
The fight stays on the outside here - David looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
David fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
David is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
David with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Grant to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Cross David has been cut.

David moves into range and clinches up with Grant.
Grant using the Thai plumb to throw knees but David has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Grant.
Grant is pressed up against the ropes. David has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Grant down to the mat. Grant avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
David tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Grant paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Grant keeps the fight on the outside.
David shoots in for a takedown but Grant shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cross David. That's going to take a lot out of him.
David tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Grant fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. David looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
David is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
David is looking to clinch but Grant is avoiding it.
David looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grant is fending him off so far but David persists. Nope, Grant circles away and we're back to standing.

Grant looks to score with a jab to the body but David is just out of range.
Dillon Grant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A jab from Grant finds it's way through David's defenses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grant lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and David falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
