Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Oasis - Fuckin' In The Bushes. Bob Bailey acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Bailey!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks to throw the jab but Bailey is out of range.
Bailey bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bailey shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.


It looks like Bob Bailey has been cut.
A jab from Jones misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target.
Bailey moves out of range as Jones strikes.
Jones loads up on a big right hand but Bailey slips the punch.
Bailey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jones throws a big shot that misses.
Bailey displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Bailey uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bailey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
Bailey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jones.

A swing and a miss from Jones.

Bailey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bailey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bailey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Jones is looking for a sweep. Bailey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jones moves into full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bailey is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control.

Bailey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bailey has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.

Bailey keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones misses with an uppercut. Bailey saw that one coming.
Bailey throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bailey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bailey has control of an arm but Jones manages to advance to Bailey's back!
Bailey prevents Jones from getting a body triangle.

Jones is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bailey defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bailey tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones has control of Bailey's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bailey regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jones is breathing heavily.

Bailey wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Jones here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Bailey wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Bailey.

Bailey tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.
Bailey ducks under a wild hook from Jones.
Jones misses with a looping left.
Jones loads up on a big right hand but Bailey slips the punch.

Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Bailey shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Bailey throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Steve Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Jones misses with an uppercut. Bailey saw that one coming.
Bailey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bailey somewhat.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Bailey ducks down to avoid it.
Jones misses with a straight right.

Bailey jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jones lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.


That has opened up Bob Bailey's cut even more.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bailey.

Jones lands a big uppercut and Bailey crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bailey looks OK. Jones waves Bailey back to his feet!


Bailey is rocked!


The cut above Bob Bailey's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Steve Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bailey.
Jones throws a hook but Bailey avoids it easily.
Jones throws a monster overhand right that drops Bailey! Jones follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
