Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Frito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frito is looking to clinch.
Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Frito circles away.
Frito shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jackson lands a front kick.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Frito sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Frito changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Frito manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Frito tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
An inside leg kick lands from Jackson.
Jackson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jackson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Jackson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Jackson has his foot on Frito's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Frito works his way back into a safe position though.

Frito drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jackson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jackson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jackson!
Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Frito is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jackson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Frito walks forward, straight into a front kick from Jackson.
Frito fails with a takedown attempt.
Jackson cracks Frito with a right hand to the side of the head.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Frito moves out of range easily.
A lazy left from Jackson finds it's target.

Frito on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Frito takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Frito is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Frito shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Frito counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Frito trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Jackson has a takedown stuffed.
Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Frito sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.

and Jackson counters with a good low kick that Frito was not able to check.

Frito changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Frito manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Jackson.
Jackson throws a head kick that Frito semi-blocks.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Freddy Frito is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Frito will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
