Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between conchito gabaldon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emilio Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). gabaldon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is tubthumping. conchito gabaldon had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
gabaldon misses with a body kick.
gabaldon stuffs the takedown attempt from Stark. Stark gets slowly back to his feet.
gabaldon throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Stark circles away from the clinch attempt.
gabaldon misses with a low kick as Stark jumps back.
gabaldon throws a right and a left that Stark avoids nicely.

Stark shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. gabaldon manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Stark controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Stark sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed gabaldon's guard.
Stark controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Stark has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

gabaldon is refusing to be controlled, as Stark sits in half guard.
Stark keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Emilio Stark just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
gabaldon is looking to clinch but Stark is avoiding it.
gabaldon tries to bum rush Stark with a series of wild strikes but Stark uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
gabaldon misses with a head kick.
Stark moves in looking to clinch but gabaldon pushes him off.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Stark shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches gabaldon napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stark wants to control but gabaldon is keeping him busy.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stark decides to stand up, so the ref orders gabaldon to his feet.

Stark decides to stand back up. Stark steps back and let's gabaldon get back to his feet.

gabaldon is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stark's half guard.

Stark looking for a triangle here. gabaldon is fighting it but it looks tight! Stark pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, gabaldon is tapping out - this one is all over!
