Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drago Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Daniel Maia has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Daniel Maia seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia shoots in for a takedown but Kozlov shows good takedown defense.
Maia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kozlov swivels and escapes.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kozlov as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Maia. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kozlov as he jumps to the side.
Kozlov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kozlov swings for the body but Maia moves out of range.
Kozlov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Maia shoots for a double leg takedown but Kozlov sprawls well. He's pushed Maia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Maia will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maia tries for a takedown but Kozlov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kozlov throws a half hearted mid kick.
Maia shoots for a double leg takedown but Kozlov sprawls well. He's pushed Maia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Maia tries for a takedown but Kozlov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kozlov lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Kozlov rushes Maia and presses him up against the cage.
Maia drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kozlov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Maia has a takedown stuffed.
Maia is breathing heavily.

Kozlov clinches up with Maia and pushes him back against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Kozlov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kozlov clobbers Maia with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kozlov Rushes Maia and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Maia is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Kozlov Piles on the pressure and Maia crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
