Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jungle misses with a two punch combination.
McDermott jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McDermott scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
McDermott swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

McDermott is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jungle.
McDermott throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jungle counters with a series of strikes that sends McDermott to the canvas! Jungle follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jungle drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jungle jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jungle working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
McDermott has his hands on Jungle's head, controlling the position.
Jungle wants to stand but McDermott is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jungle wants to control from the top but McDermott keeps moving.
McDermott looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

McDermott is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Well, if McDermott is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jungle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McDermott.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McDermott tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jungle knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jungle looks like he's trying to stand up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McDermott cracks Jungle with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jungle connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt McDermott! He's out on his feet! Jungle rushes in and drops McDermott with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). George Jungle!
