Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Loser Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Durell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Loser Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Durell!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durell misses with a double jab.
Johnson moves away from the strike by Durell.
Johnson dodges the punch combination from Durell.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Durell but Durell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Durell looks to land a combination. Johnson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Johnson moves out of range as Durell strikes.
Some wild striking there from Durell.
A big right from Durell misses.
Durell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Durell.
Michael Durell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Durell as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Loser Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson slips a jab from Durell.
Johnson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Durell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Johnson drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson pushes down on Durell's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Johnson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Durell on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Johnson is looking to advance position but Durell won't allow it.
Durell pushes Johnson off looking to stand but Johnson dives back in and keeps control.

Johnson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Durell has managed to free his arm - good work.
Durell looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Durell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Johnson uses his free foot to push down on Durell's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Durell.
Durell wants to get back to his feet.
Durell looks gassed!

Johnson looking for a guillotine from mount but Durell is having none of it.

Johnson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Durell is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Durell defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Johnson.
Johnson wants to control the pace but Durell is squirming around nicely.
Durell is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Johnson has hold of Durell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Durell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Johnson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Durell blocking the ground and pound.
Durell is trying to stand up.
Durell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Johnson wants to take his opponent's back but Durell doesn't allow it.

Johnson is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Johnson!
