Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demyan Molotov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Petzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Molotov's entrance music is mythbusters theme song. A fine choice. Petzel comes into a darkened arena with his song building. New York kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Demyan Molotov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petzel tries to clinch up.
Left hook, right uppercut from Petzel.
Petzel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Molotov slips a jab and a cross from Petzel.

Petzel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Molotov sprawls well initially but Petzel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Petzel is working for a submission of some sort.

Petzel is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Molotov is just riding it out for now. Petzel eventually gives up the hold.

Molotov has one foot on Petzel's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Petzel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Molotov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Molotov has his takedown stuffed
and Petzel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Petzel throws a head kick but Molotov moves out of range.
Petzel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Molotov backs up against the cage.

Molotov tries for a takedown but Petzel circles away easily

and Petzel counters with a shoot takedown. Molotov fights it but they end up in guard.

Petzel looking to sit in guard and control but Molotov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Petzel pulls Molotov in close to prevent any damage.

Petzel wants to sweep here but Molotov controlling him for the moment.

Petzel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Molotov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Molotov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Molotov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Petzel was covering up waiting for the punch and Molotov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Molotov stands and throws Petzel's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Petzel can't do much from the bottom here.

Molotov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Petzel is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Molotov yanks on the arm and Petzel is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Molotov.
