Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cecil B DeMille (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Codi Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parker has chosen Oh Canada as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cecil B DeMille has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker blocks a head kick by DeMille.
DeMille throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

DeMille gets to mount! Parker was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Parker is trying to get an arm triangle but DeMille is defending well.
DeMille is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Parker off and has taken his back!

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards DeMille.

DeMille is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Parker up.

Can Parker hold on?! DeMille is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
DeMille lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Parker.
Parker takes a big shot to the side of the head.
DeMille is working the ground and pound. Can Parker escape?

Parker manages to reverse the position and now he's in DeMille's guard. Nice work there by Parker.
Parker prevents DeMille from getting back to his feet.
DeMille tries to land a sweep but no joy.

DeMille kicks Parker off and gets to his feet.
DeMille tries to close the distance and clinch but Parker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

DeMille is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

DeMille has his feet on Parker's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Parker takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
DeMille has a takedown stuffed.

Parker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. DeMille sprawls well initially but Parker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Parker is trying to work for a kimura but DeMille is defending well.
DeMille holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Cecil B DeMille is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
DeMille makes his way to full guard. A much better position for DeMille.
DeMille wants to stand and escape but Parker is having none of it.

DeMille trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Parker postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! DeMille is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Parker, into his guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Codi Parker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Codi Parker.
Well DeMille has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
