Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Orange Chicken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pertti Pakkaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orange Chicken has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pakkaaja misses with a straight right.
Chicken shoots in looking for a takedown. Pakkaaja tries to sprawl out of it but Chicken keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pakkaaja manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Chicken is looking to clinch but Pakkaaja is avoiding it.
Pakkaaja rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chicken moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chicken jabs at Pakkaaja's body.
Chicken shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pakkaaja pinned against the cage. Pakkaaja gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chicken throws a lazy right hand but Pakkaaja sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pakkaaja ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chicken moves away.

Pakkaaja's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Chicken is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pakkaaja can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Chicken is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pakkaaja has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Pakkaaja really wants to buck Chicken off and get back to his feet.

Chicken is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pakkaaja to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pakkaaja shrugs it off.

Chicken has control of Pakkaaja's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pakkaaja regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chicken goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Pakkaaja turns into him and now he's in Chicken's guard.
Chicken is breathing heavily.

Pakkaaja decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Pakkaaja lands a right hook to the body.
Pakkaaja misses with an uppercut. Chicken saw that one coming.
Chicken cracks Pakkaaja with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Chicken throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pakkaaja stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Chicken tries to close the distance and clinch but Pakkaaja swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chicken is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pakkaaja defends it well.

Pakkaaja is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chicken.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pakkaaja is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Chicken has just dragged him back down to the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pakkaaja can do anything to dispel that myth.
Chicken is looking to take a break and control but Pakkaaja is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
