The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paredao shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rogers as he avoids it easily.
Rogers looks to land a combination. Paredao sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Rogers wants to clinch.
Rogers tries to clinch up.
Paredao swats away the attempt to clinch by Rogers.
Paredao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rogers manages to avoid it.
Horrible takedown by Paredao or perhaps it was just good defense by Rogers which made him look bad.
Rogers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Paredao.

Rogers is looking to clinch.
Rogers takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Paredao lands a head shot.
A punch lands to the side of Rogers 's head but he takes it in his stride.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Paredao throws a hook but Rogers blocks it.

Paredao bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Rogers trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Paredao creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Rogers sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Steve Rogers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Paredao fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Steve Rogers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Paredao swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Paredao lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

and Paredao counters with a three punch combo that has Rogers backing up. Rogers nods at Paredao to acknowledge the strikes.
Rogers throws a predictable looking body shot
and Paredao counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Paredao swings for the body but Rogers moves out of range.
