Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Corey Bigs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Manson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Corey Bigs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyle Manson!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bigs bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Manson on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Manson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
A lull in the action here.
Manson tries to buck Bigs off but Bigs is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Manson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bigs counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bigs.

Manson wants to sweep here but Bigs controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bigs's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bigs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bigs slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Manson.
Bigs uses his free foot to push down on Manson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Manson.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bigs lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Manson.

Manson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bigs looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bigs looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bigs!

Manson is trying to work for a sweep but Bigs has mounted him!

Bigs has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Manson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bigs uses it to pass to side control.

Manson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bigs is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Corey Bigs.
Well Bigs has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
