The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Napalm moves away.
Costa misses with a two punch combination.
Napalm takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Costa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Costa scores with the left hand. Napalm knows he should have avoided that one.
Costa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Napalm manages to avoid it.
Costa fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Costa looks to land a left hand but Napalm moved out of range nicely.
Romulo Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Napalm is trying hard to land a takedown here. Costa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Costa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Costa scores with a one two! Napalm had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Napalm tries to score a power double leg takedown but Costa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Napalm somewhat.
Napalm slips a jab and a cross from Costa.

Costa throws a series of punches but Napalm avoids them all with ease.

Costa tries to bum rush Napalm with a series of wild strikes but Napalm uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Napalm throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Costa's waist but Costa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Napalm off to one side.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Costa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Napalm stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Napalm is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Napalm shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Costa sprawls well. Costa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Napalm gets slowly back to his feet.

Costa drops Napalm with a right and a left! Costa comes rushing in but Napalm regains his composure and manages to keep Costa in guard.

It looks like Plutonio Napalm has been cut.

Napalm is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Napalm had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Costa defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Napalm has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Costa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Costa wants to pass the guard but Napalm is keeping the position.
Costa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Costa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Costa throws a left that rocks Napalm and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Costa dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Napalm regain composure!
Napalm manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Costa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Napalm got a little sloppy there for a moment and Costa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Napalm has managed to get both his arms back between Costa's legs - danger averted.

Napalm drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Napalm jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Costa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Costa is looking to advance position but Napalm won't allow it.

Napalm has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Costa. Oh but Napalm has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Costa goes limp - he's gone! Napalm jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
