Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gessinger Maltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richter Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie feints and as Maltz raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gracie stops Maltz from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie trying to move into half guard but instead Maltz has managed to sweep!

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Maltz is aware though and is defending well.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maltz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Maltz puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Maltz wants to get back to his feet.

Maltz stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gracie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Maltz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Maltz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gracie tries to bum rush Maltz with a series of wild strikes but Maltz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Maltz did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gracie thows a body shot but no joy.

A close round but Richter Gracie will probably get the nod.

Maltz throws a combination. Gracie tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Maltz misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maltz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Gracie is just content to waste time from the top position. Maltz takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Richter Gracie just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Maltz throws a right and a left that both miss.
Maltz displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

It looks like Richter Gracie has been cut.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gessinger Maltz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richter Gracie.
Maltz lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Gracie can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Maltz and Gracie drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Maltz.
