The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Clanton tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Clanton to the ground. Clanton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Clanton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Clanton throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Clanton punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch.
A punch combination from Clanton misses.
Clanton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clanton throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jones takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Alabaster Jones has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Clanton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Clanton lands a big right hand that sends Jones crashing to the mat! Clanton stays standing though and waves Jones back to his feet!

Clanton lands an uppercut, right on the button! Jones tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
