Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nikolay Nechvidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magomed Aliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magomed Aliev acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolay Nechvidov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Magomed Aliev!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliev misses with a jab, cross combination.
Aliev misses with a series of wild punches.
Aliev throws a right and a left that both miss.
Aliev looks gassed!
Aliev tries to bum rush Nechvidov with a series of wild strikes but Nechvidov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nechvidov throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Nechvidov has closed the distance and engaged Aliev in a clinch.

Nechvidov wants the takedown. Aliev is fighting it off but Nechvidov persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Aliev's guard against the cage.
Nechvidov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Nechvidov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Nechvidov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nechvidov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Aliev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nechvidov.
Aliev throws a right and a left that both miss.

Nechvidov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aliev was covering up waiting for the punch and Nechvidov finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Aliev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nechvidov is aware though and is defending well.

Nechvidov stands up and waves to Aliev to follow him.

Nechvidov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aliev's guard.

Nechvidov cracks Aliev with a big elbow.
Aliev is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Nechvidov off and has taken his back!
Nechvidov controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Nechvidov is having to fend off submission attempts from Aliev, who is looking to sink in the choke. Aliev doesn't have the hooks in though and Nechvidov manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Nechvidov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aliev swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Nechvidov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Aliev has his foot on Nechvidov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nechvidov works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Aliev isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nechvidov stacks Aliev on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nechvidov!
Aliev tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nechvidov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Nechvidov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aliev on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Aliev throws a right hand that Nechvidov ducks under and follows up with a left that Nechvidov also avoids with ease.

Nechvidov moves into the clinch.
Nechvidov creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Aliev's defenses.

Nechvidov manages to break the clinch.

Nechvidov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aliev is trying to defend but Nechvidov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Aliev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nechvidov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Nechvidov has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Aliev to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nechvidov is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Aliev pulls down on the head and he's put Nechvidov to sleep! This one is all over!
