Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hikaru Monotoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crocker Tubbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monotoshi comes to the cage accompanied by Stooges - Search and Destroy. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monotoshi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Monotoshi dives in and grabs Tubbs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tubbs pushes down on Monotoshi's head and hops out.
Tubbs jabs at Monotoshi's body.
Monotoshi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tubbs moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Tubbs stuns Monotoshi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Monotoshi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tubbs sprawls well initially but Monotoshi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tubbs tries to get to full guard but Monotoshi has control of the leg.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Monotoshi is trying to work for a kimura but Tubbs is defending well.

Tubbs is trying to maintain the position but Monotoshi is very close to passing his half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Monotoshi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tubbs.
Monotoshi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tubbs as he jumps to the side.

Monotoshi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Tubbs has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Monotoshi is looking to clinch but Tubbs is avoiding it.

Monotoshi closes the distance and clinches up with Tubbs, looking for a takedown. Monotoshi pushes Tubbs against the cage but Tubbs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Crocker Tubbs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tubbs turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Monotoshi is breathing heavily.
Monotoshi shoots in for a takedown but Tubbs shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tubbs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Monotoshi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tubbs throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Monotoshi walks into a left hand.
Monotoshi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Monotoshi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tubbs pinned against the cage. Tubbs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Monotoshi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tubbs finds it's way round the side to connect with Monotoshi's head.
Tubbs is working the combinations to good effect here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Monotoshi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tubbs fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Monotoshi to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Monotoshi looks to clinch but Tubbs throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Monotoshi taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
