PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marco Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Salazaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rua might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to KILLER performed by Drake. Salazaar has chosen Ton of Bricks as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marco Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Salazaar!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rua misses with a wild combination.
Rua swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Rua moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Rua misses with a double jab.
Rua throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Antonio Salazaar has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salazaar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rua.
Rua fails in his attempt to clinch.
Salazaar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rua is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Salazaar.

Salazaar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Salazaar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
