Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Pigman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samson comes to the cage accompanied by Moby Dick. Ron Pigman has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brock Samson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samson tries to close the distance and clinch but Pigman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Samson misses with a head kick.
Pigman shoots in looking for a takedown. Samson tries to sprawl out of it but Pigman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Samson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Samson throws a head kick but Pigman moves out of range.
Pigman throws a right and a left that Samson avoids nicely.

Pigman clinches up against the cage.
Samson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Samson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Pigman breaks the clinch.
Samson dodges the punch combination from Pigman.
Pigman throws a head kick but Samson moves out of range.
Samson cracks Pigman with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Samson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pigman to stand back up!

It looks like Ron Pigman has been cut.
Samson throws a lazy head kick
and Pigman counters with a two punch combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Pigman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Samson can't find room to land a body shot as Pigman controls the action.

Pigman breaks from the clinch.
Pigman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pigman.

Samson is rocked!

It looks like Brock Samson has been cut.

Pigman has managed to clinch.
Oh Samson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Pigman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pigman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Samson swivels and escapes.

and Pigman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Samson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Pigman wants to control from the top but Samson keeps moving.

Pigman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Samson dives on top into guard.
Samson seems to have got his legs back now.
Pigman looks gassed!
Pigman has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Samson has passed into side control.
Pigman is trying to control Samson's posture but Samson avoids it.
Pigman is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Pigman is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Samson is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Pigman is bucking up trying to escape but Samson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Pigman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Pigman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pigman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pigman tries to hold on but Samson postures up.
Pigman tries to reverse the position but Samson maintains control.
Pigman holds of for dear life.
Pigman is working to get back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pigman tries to lock up and control but Samson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Samson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Pigman can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pigman is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pigman regains half guard.
Pigman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Samson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Samson's back!

Samson wants to pass the guard but Pigman is keeping the position.

and Pigman counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Brock Samson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pigman slips under a jab.
Samson throws a head kick that misses.
Samson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pigman.
Samson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pigman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Samson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Samson tries to clinch but Pigman is having none of it.
Pigman throws a nice looking combination but Samson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A head kick misses from Samson.
Samson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Pigman sprawling to the canvas! Pigman rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Samson finish him?!

That has opened up Ron Pigman's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Samson fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Pigman out cold! Brutal finish!
