Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatsuya Nakamura has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Power! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuya Nakamura! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nakamura lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Tatsuya Nakamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nakamura lunges at Power with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Power's hand. Power lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nakamura circles away quickly and effectively. Nakamura walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Power checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Power shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nakamura throws a sloppy head kick and Power moves out of range easily. An inside leg kick from Power misses. Power fails with a takedown attempt. Power throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Nakamura does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Power shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Nakamura sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Nakamura flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Nakamura has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Power tries to stand and escape but Nakamura is controlling the position. Power seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nakamura does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Power tries to stand but can't do so whilst Nakamura controls his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakamura is looking to improve his position.
Nakamura misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Power is trying to control. Nakamura wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Nakamura works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Power preventing the sweep.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nakamura falls off balance throwing a combination
so Power counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Power is breathing heavily. Nakamura trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Power in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Power throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nakamura works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Nakamura had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Power defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakamura bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Power's guard. Nakamura looking to pass the guard. Nakamura is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Power is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Power has escaped and now he's on top! This has been an exciting period of action! Nakamura has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Power can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nakamura is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Power is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power trying to control but Nakamura is working from the bottom. Power wants to pass the guard but Nakamura is keeping the position. Power trying to control the position from guard on top but Nakamura is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Power slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Nakamura looking for a triangle here. Power is fighting it but it looks tight! Nakamura pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Power is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Tatsuya Nakamura!
