Carter's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 99 Problems Remix. Cohen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Season in the Abyss. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cohen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A nice inside leg kick there by Carter. That's going to slow Cohen down.
Cohen tries for a takedown but Carter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A shot to de liver by Carter. Beautiful body shot.
Carter lands with an overhand left.
Carter lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Cohen shoots in for a double leg but Carter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shawn Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lawrence Cohen.
Carter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lawrence Cohen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter throws a series of punches but Cohen moves out of range.
Carter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cohen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Carter.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carter scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Carter paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Carter lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Carter scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Carter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cohen on the side of the head.

Cohen is trying desperately to land a takedown but Carter is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Cohen.
Cohen tries for a takedown but Carter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cohen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cohen ducks right into an uppercut from Carter.
Carter throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cohen.

Cohen is rocked!
Carter lands a slapping body shot.
Carter scores with a sloppy right hand. Cohen should have avoided that one.
Cohen is still on wobbly legs! Can Carter finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carter cracks Cohen with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Cohen falls to his knees and Carter doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
