Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ezio Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dude looks like a lady!. Chris Ellis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ezio Castillo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Castillo drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ellis is looking for a triangle but Castillo pushes his legs off easily.

Castillo wants to control from the top but Ellis keeps moving.
Castillo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ellis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ellis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Castillo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ellis is just riding it out for now. Castillo eventually gives up the hold.

Castillo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ellis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ellis tries to kick Castillo off but Castillo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Castillo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ellis pinned against the cage. Ellis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Chris Ellis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ellis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ellis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Castillo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ellis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ellis is looking for a triangle but Castillo pushes his legs off easily.

Ellis wants to get back to his feet but Castillo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Castillo wants to work for an arm triangle but Ellis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Castillo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Castillo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Castillo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Castillo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ellis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Castillo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ellis gets caught flat footed, as Castillo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Castillo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ellis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ellis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Castillo pulls his head out easily.

Castillo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Castillo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Castillo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ellis was covering up waiting for the punch and Castillo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Castillo wants to control but Ellis is keeping him busy.

Ellis has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Castillo escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Castillo!
Ellis pushes Castillo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Castillo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Castillo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Castillo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Castillo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ellis will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

I've got Castillo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
