Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between GABRIEL DU BRONX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, GABRIEL DU BRONX!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Silva!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DU BRONX moves into range and clinches up with Silva.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. DU BRONX obliges.

DU BRONX manages to break the clinch.

DU BRONX gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
DU BRONX can't get the takedown.
Silva presses DU BRONX against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Silva is looking to break free of the clinch but DU BRONX has double underhooks.

DU BRONX ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. DU BRONX no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Silva wants to get up but he can't break DU BRONX's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
DU BRONX looking for a sweep. Not yet DU BRONX, not yet.
Silva is stalling in the full guard.
DU BRONX is pulling down on Silva's head. It's preventing any offense from Silva, at least for the moment.

DU BRONX is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Silva wants to get up but he can't break DU BRONX's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

DU BRONX knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Silva tries to clinch up but DU BRONX circles away and keeps his distance.

so DU BRONX counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Silva manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Silva throws a hook but DU BRONX avoids it easily.
DU BRONX scores with a kick to the midsection.

DU BRONX misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

DU BRONX gets a clinch.
Silva tries for a takedown but DU BRONX manages to get underhooks.
Silva is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

DU BRONX breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

GABRIEL DU BRONX has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Silva.
DU BRONX wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
DU BRONX is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

DU BRONX stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

DU BRONX lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva is refusing to be controlled, as DU BRONX sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Silva shoots and misses

DU BRONX pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

DU BRONX shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

DU BRONX tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

DU BRONX is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for DU BRONX to get the leverage.
Well, if DU BRONX is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Silva wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
DU BRONX takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

DU BRONX wants to stand up but Silva is controlling the position.
Silva wants to control but DU BRONX is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

DU BRONX shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Silva pushes DU BRONX away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, DU BRONX gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Silva is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
DU BRONX remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva is not content to let DU BRONX control the position.
Silva regains half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
DU BRONX prevents Silva from improving his position.
Silva tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

DU BRONX is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
DU BRONX wants to take a breather but Silva is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

GABRIEL DU BRONX dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


DU BRONX motions for Silva to come forward. DU BRONX throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

DU BRONX shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DU BRONX tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Silva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of DU BRONX's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take DU BRONX's back!
DU BRONX looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Silva biding his time, looking for the opening.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

A lull in the action here.
DU BRONX can't escape the position.
Silva tries to keep control of the position but DU BRONX is staying busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
DU BRONX trying to control but not successfully.
DU BRONX breaks Silva's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Silva pushes DU BRONX off and gets back to his feet.

DU BRONX throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and DU BRONX finishes the takedown easily into guard.
GABRIEL DU BRONX overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
DU BRONX tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. DU BRONX manages to get himself to full guard.
Silva advances to half guard.
Silva is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Silva missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
DU BRONX is trying to stand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
DU BRONX is looking to control Silva's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can DU BRONX avoid being mounted?
Silva tries to stand but his hand is stuck under DU BRONX.
DU BRONX is trying to maintain the position but Silva is very close to passing his half guard.

Silva seems to be working for a kimura but DU BRONX defends the submission attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Silva wants to control but DU BRONX is keeping him busy.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to GABRIEL DU BRONX.
Well DU BRONX has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
