Zulud comes to the cage accompanied by Bullet For My Valentine - Hit The Floor. Peters has chosen BringThe Pain as his entrance music. OMG Zulud could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pain Peters's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pain Peters!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A swing and a miss from Zulud.
Zulud lands a nice hook to Peters's body. Peters takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Zulud displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Peters.
Peters throws a body punch but Zulud moves out of range.
Peters avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zulud tries to clinch up.
A jab from Peters finds it's way through Zulud's defenses.
Peters shoots in for a takedown but Zulud shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Zulud leaves Peters with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
OMG Zulud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pain Peters.
Zulud stalks Peters and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Peters's face. Peters staggers backwards, shaken.

Zulud's corner calls for a 1-2. Zulud obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Peters wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Zulud, who protects the arm well.
Zulud might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Zulud is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Zulud wants to get back to full guard.

Peters is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zulud is just riding it out for now. Peters eventually gives up the hold.

Peters is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Zulud has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peters looks gassed!

Zulud regains full guard. Nicely done.

Peters drops back, looking for a kneebar! Zulud looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Zulud looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Zulud!
Peters gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Peters trying to control but Zulud postures up.
Zulud takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Peters wants to control but Zulud is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Zulud is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Peters fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zulud avoids it really well and circles away.
Zulud throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Peters tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zulud sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Peters somewhat.

Peters tries to score a body lock takedown but Zulud shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Zulud lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Peters is trying to drag Zulud to the mat but Zulud just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Peters goes for a takedown in the clinch but Zulud prevents it.

Peters turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Peters manages to end up in side control.

Peters goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Zulud has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Peters but great work by Zulud.
Peters tries to improve position but can't.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Zulud's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Peters wants to control but Zulud is keeping busy.

Zulud content to control rather than advance.

Peters is controlling Zulud's trapped leg to prevent Zulud from advancing to side control.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
