The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basterd tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mainiac sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Basterd somewhat.
Mainiac tries to clinch up.
Basterd shoots in for a double leg but Mainiac sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mainiac tries a low kick but Basterd avoids it.
Mainiac throws a hook but Basterd blocks it.
Basterd misses with a jab, cross combination.
Basterd takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mainiac circles away from the clinch attempt.
Basterd shoots in but no luck this time.

Basterd shoots in looking for a takedown. Mainiac tries to sprawl out of it but Basterd keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mainiac manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mainiac fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Basterd manages to avoid it.
Mainiac keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Mainiac lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Basterd can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Mainiac and Basterd drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Mainiac.
