Gonzales fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gonzales fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Shamrock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Shamrock is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gonzales can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Shamrock has hold of Gonzales's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gonzales manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Gonzales knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shamrock on the ground.
Gonzales is trying to escape the mount.
Gonzales bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Shamrock looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Gonzales is defending well. Shamrock quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Gonzales has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Shamrock celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
