The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Theodosi's half guard.
Penn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Theodosi's head.
Penn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Penn is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Theodosi is just riding it out for now. Penn eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
