Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Maldonado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazyu Montezuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maldonado comes into the arena with Got urself a gun blaring out of the sound system. Vincent Maldonado has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montezuna pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Maldonado tries to clinch up.
Montezuna throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Maldonado looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Montezuna lands a slapping body shot.
Maldonado wants to clinch up but Montezuna keeps it at a distance.
Montezuna shoots in for a takedown but Maldonado shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Maldonado chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Montezuna can pounce on him.

Montezuna is looking to control Maldonado's arms but Maldonado gets an underhook and turns him. Now Montezuna has his back to the cage.

Vincent Maldonado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazyu Montezuna.
Montezuna is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Montezuna bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Maldonado's guard.

Montezuna thows a big elbow that misses.
Montezuna is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montezuna tries to free his leg and advance position but Maldonado is retaining full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Montezuna shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Montezuna is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Maldonado is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
