And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terron Cabal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabal fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cabal blocks the body kick.

VALASQUEZ shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. VALASQUEZ showed some decent athleticism there.
Cabal wants to improve his position but VALASQUEZ is controlling well.
VALASQUEZ throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cabal has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. VALASQUEZ is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

I looks like Cabal might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Cabal seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
