The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrd wants to clinch.
Byrd slips a jab and a cross from Sudduth.
Sudduth lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Fred Byrd has been cut.
Byrd showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sudduth.
Sudduth takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Byrd throws a body kick that misses.
Sudduth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A combination from Sudduth does no damage.
Sudduth throws a nice looking combination but Byrd bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sudduth connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Byrd to the floor! Sudduth dives in looking for the finish!

Byrd wants to improve his position but Sudduth is controlling well.

Sudduth avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sudduth is looking to work some ground and pound but Byrd has wrist control.
Sudduth has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sudduth is fighting to break Byrd's control of his arms but Byrd is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Byrd tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Byrd bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sudduth's guard.

Byrd looks to land a body kick but Sudduth moved away.
Sudduth uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Byrd is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sudduth displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sudduth is looking to slow Byrd down with leg kicks.
Look low, kick high! Sudduth uses the oldest trick in the book to send Byrd tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Sudduth is absolutely delighted - when Byrd wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
