Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Woods!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coleman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Woods works his way to full guard. Good work.

Woods has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Coleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Woods. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Woods is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Woods seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Woods is trying to control the action in half guard but Coleman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Coleman can do anything to dispel that myth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Woods connects with a nice short shot to Coleman's temple.

Woods is working for a submission of some sort.

Coleman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Woods scores with a couple of nice shots.

Woods looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Woods lands with a punch from half guard.
Woods lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Woods is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Woods has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
BOOM! Woods connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Woods dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Woods fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Coleman sprawls well initially but Woods persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
James Woods overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Woods winds up and cracks Coleman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Woods content to control rather than advance.
Coleman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Woods scores with a couple of nice shots.

Woods looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Woods working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Woods seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Coleman is breathing heavily.

Woods is trying to control. Coleman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Woods works his way into full mount!
Woods lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Woods looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Woods cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Coleman is in a horrible position here. Woods smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Coleman is still in real trouble! Can Woods finish him?
Woods looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Coleman covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Woods!
