Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Brent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omari El Hazad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Brent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Omari El Hazad!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Hazad fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brent avoids it really well and circles away.
El Hazad tries to clinch but Brent is having none of it.
Brent throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Brent lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as El Hazad backs up against the cage.
Brent avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
El Hazad tries to close the distance and clinch but Brent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
El Hazad is looking to clinch.
Brent fails with a takedown attempt.

The fight stays on the outside here - El Hazad looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

El Hazad shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brent but Brent pushes him off and we're back to square one.

El Hazad closes the distance but Brent moves to the side
and Brent counters with a lovely shot to the body.
El Hazad is looking to clinch but Brent is avoiding it.
Brent moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

El Hazad darts in trying to clinch
and Brent counters with a thumping low kick.

El Hazad rushes Brent and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
El Hazad with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Brent on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Brent's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Brent pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brent throws a combination but it was largely blocked by El Hazad.

El Hazad shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brent is trying to defend but El Hazad finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
El Hazad takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
El Hazad throws a strike but Brent avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Brent utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
El Hazad wants to control from the top but Brent keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Brent counters with a series of strikes. El Hazad will be more careful next time no doubt.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brent, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
