Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drackonis Nethspar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Awesome Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Drackonis Nethspar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Awesome Bob!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Nethspar with that takedown attempt.
Bob shoots in but no luck this time.
Bob tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nethspar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bob somewhat.

and Bob counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nethspar misses with a combination

and Bob counters by moving into the clinch.
Bob has Nethspar pressed against the cage, preventing Nethspar from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Nethspar stops a takedown attempt from Bob.
Drackonis Nethspar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Awesome Bob.

Bob's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Bob counters by clinching up.
Bob goes for a takedown attempt but Nethspar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nethspar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bob shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nethspar's guard.
Nethspar is trying to keep Bob in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bob won't allow Nethspar to get back to his feet.

Nethspar is looking to stand up but Bob isn't so interested in that idea.
Nethspar keeping moving, preventing Bob from controlling successfully.
Nethspar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nethspar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bob on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Nethspar closes the distance and clinches.

Nethspar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nethspar shoots in for a takedown but Bob shows good takedown defense.
Nethspar is breathing heavily.
Nethspar throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nethspar tries to clinch up.

Bob is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Bob decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nethspar, up you get!

Nethspar is trying to hold Bob in close to prevent damage but Bob has managed to pass into half guard.

Nethspar wants to control but Bob is keeping busy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bob tries to clinch there but Nethspar circles away.

and Bob holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bob is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bob is trying to stall.
Bob tries to break the clinch but Nethspar is controlling the position.

Nethspar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nethspar punishes Bob's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Awesome Bob dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Nethspar misses with the combination.

Bob shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nethspar is trying to defend but Bob finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nethspar wants to get back to full guard.
Bob is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nethspar is looking to improve his position.

Nethspar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bob's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bob's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

You can see the frustration on Bob's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Nethspar has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Will Nethspar go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Bob manages to reverse the position and now he's in Nethspar's guard. Nice work there by Bob.

Nethspar pushes Bob off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Bob counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nethspar!

Nethspar bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Nethspar wants to stand and escape but instead Bob has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bob decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bob is trying to control Nethspar's posture but Nethspar avoids it.

Nethspar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Awesome Bob showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Nethspar swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bob counters with a series of strikes. Nethspar will be more careful next time no doubt.

Bob sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nethspar's guard.

Nethspar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Nethspar is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Awesome Bob has got the better of the ground game so far.

Awesome Bob comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bob has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
