Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Manny Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson dives in and grabs Nelson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes down on Jackson's head and hops out.

Jackson wants to stand but Nelson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Nelson darts in and clinches Jackson up against the cage.
Jackson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nelson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Nelson pulls guard.

Nelson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nelson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Nelson, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Nelson against the cage but Nelson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Manny Jackson will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nelson was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nelson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nelson wants it to stay on the feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
