Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alessio Delvecchio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Fisher.
Delvecchio misses with a series of wild punches.

Fisher shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Fisher tries to control but Delvecchio wriggling away.

Fisher wants to finish this one by submission but Delvecchio is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fisher.
Delvecchio blocking the ground and pound.
Delvecchio is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fisher looking to finish with strikes here!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fisher looking for a guillotine from mount but Delvecchio is having none of it.
Delvecchio tries to reverse the position but Fisher maintains control.
Delvecchio is squirming around, avoiding Fisher's attempts to control the action.
Delvecchio is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Delvecchio sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Delvecchio is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fisher seems to be looking for submissions.
Fisher tries to pass the half guard into mount. Delvecchio knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Delvecchio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fisher on the ground.
Delvecchio wants to improve his position but Fisher is controlling well.

Fisher is trying to work for a kimura but Delvecchio is defending well.
Delvecchio blocking the ground and pound attempt from Fisher.

Delvecchio keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Fisher trying to control the pace.
Fisher wants to stand up but Delvecchio has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Fisher trying to mount his opponent but Delvecchio defends it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Delvecchio misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Delvecchio lands with a right hand.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fisher takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fisher looks for a takedown but Delvecchio sprawls well.
A telegraphed right hand from Delvecchio misses the target.
Nice shot lands for Delvecchio.
Fisher slips a straight right by Delvecchio.
Fisher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Delvecchio lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Fisher backs up against the cage.
George Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fisher moves out of range of the strikes.
Some wild striking there from Delvecchio.
Delvecchio keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alessio Delvecchio dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


No luck for Fisher with that takedown attempt.
Delvecchio lands a lovely overhand right.
Delvecchio lands a slapping body shot.
Delvecchio ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fisher moves away.
Fisher takes one to the side of the head.
Fisher avoids the body shot from Delvecchio.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fisher.
Delvecchio scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.


Fisher is rocked!
Delvecchio lands a body shot.
Alessio Delvecchio is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fisher is breathing heavily.

Delvecchio fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Good shot there by Delvecchio.
Fisher is still on wobbly legs! Can Delvecchio finish him?
Delvecchio fakes the body blow, causing Fisher to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Fisher goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
